Results right panel options

On the results page, use the right panel to select the display options to view the safe ejection time of the plastic part, the surface and volume temperature distribution on the plastic and mold components.

Option Description
Setup|Results Allows you to quickly switch from the Results page to the Setup page.

This allows you to verify the settings of your solved model.

Display Mode Lets you select the variable to view in the display window.
Mold
Displays the mold component and its temperature distribution only for the design project type.
Plastic Volume
Displays the temperature distribution on the plastic part volume.
Plastic Surface
Displays the temperature distribution on the plastic part surface.
Freeze Time
Displays the freeze time distribution on the plastic part. The freeze time, or safe ejection time, is the duration for the plastic part to develop a thick enough solidified layer, enabling safe ejection while maintaining its integrity.
Channels Appears for the design project type.

Displays the cooling channels to let you understand the impact of the channels’ placement on the results.

Mold Group <N> Appears when Mold is selected in Display Mode.

Shows or hides specific mold groups for better visualization.

Cutting Plane Appears for all Display Mode options except Mold.

Displays a sectional view along the selected axis:

  • X—Applies a cutting plane along the x-direction.
  • Y—Applies a cutting plane along the y-direction.
  • Z—Applies a cutting plane along the z-direction.
Invert
Inverts the cutting plane direction.
Cutting plane slider
Specifies the cutting plane position along of the selected axis.
Show Mold Temperatures
Displays the mold temperature distribution on the cutting plane only for the design project type.
Clip Plastic Part
Excludes plastic parts from the cutting plane.
Filter Plastic Displays areas of the plastic part where the temperature exceeds the specified value.

This lets you identify areas of the plastic part that are within the safe ejection range, those still in a liquid state, or areas exceeding the plastic’s melting point.

Filter slider
Shows areas that exceed the specified freeze time or temperature value.
Simulation time Specifies time step at which you want to display the thermal results to help you analyze the thermal performance of your mold and plastic parts during various phases of the cooling cycle.
