Extracting cooling channels
In this tutorial, you will learn how to extract and define the inlets and outlets of your cooling channels directly from your mold without using physical CAD bodies.

  Use SimForm to perform thermal cooling analyses for your plastic injection mold designs. These analyses help you identify hot spots on the plastic part and develop cooling layouts to improve part quality and reduce cycle times.

Run the simulation

Start the solving process.

On the Setup page, hover over Submit Job to display the verification list of all the required elements that you must define to solve the job.
The verification list displays the required components that you must define to run the solve. In this list, the status indicates the following:
- Component is correctly defined.
- Component is missing a required definition.
Click Submit Job to start the simulation solve.

In the Extracting cooling channels job card, you can monitor the progress of the simulation. When the solve status changes to Complete, proceed to the next step. The solve process takes approximately 1 to 5 minutes.
