Assigning individual inlet temperatures

In a channel assessment job, you can now specify a unique inlet temperature for each cooling channel in your model. This enhancement gives you precision control over thermal conditions when different areas of the mold require distinct coolant settings.

If you do not define a unique inlet temperature for a channel, the solver uses the global inlet temperature setting.

Downloading cooling channels and baffles

In a channel assessment job, you can now export the cooling channels and baffles from your model as a CAD file in STEP format. This lets you transfer any geometry changes made in SimForm back to your CAD software to include them in your model.

Defining manufacturing diameter (beta)

In a channel recommender job, you now define the cooling channel size for manufacturing constraints using the channel diameter instead of the radius. This change aligns with common manufacturing practices and simplifies the input by allowing you to specify the full width of the channel directly.

Exporting recommended cooling regions (beta)

In a channel recommender job, you can now download the recommended cooling regions as CAD models in IGES or STEP format. This lets you use the generated suggestions outside of SimForm. For example, you can import the recommended regions as reference geometry in your CAD software during cooling layout design.
