Using projects and jobs
Use projects and jobs in SimForm to manage and organize your mold design tests.
Using projects in SimForm
A project lets you test different variations of a plastic mold design. A project can contain multiple tests with different variations of the part, mold or cooling design to easily converge upon the optimal design.
Using jobs in SimForm
- Thermal performance of different cooling designs.
- Various materials for the mold and plastic parts.
- Impact of cooling time on the heat distribution in the plastic part.
You can create a job based on a previous one. The new job inherits the CAD model and uses the same model settings, which you can modify as needed.
Project pricing and job count
When you create a project, credits are deducted from your credit balance. Each project allows you to create a set number of jobs without using additional credits. If you exceed the maximum job count, you can create a new project to continue your analyses.
The number of required credits and maximum jobs depend on the project type, as shown in the following table.
Project type | Credits | Maximum number of jobs |
---|---|---|
Design project | 10 | 12 |
Feasibility project | 3 | 6 |
