In this tutorial, you will learn how to set up, solve, and interpret results of a basic mold analysis.

  Use SimForm to perform a thermal cooling analysis for your plastic injection mold designs. These analyses help you identify hot spots on the plastic part and develop cooling layouts to improve the part quality and reduce cycle times.

Running a basic mold analysis

In this tutorial, you will learn how to set up, solve, and interpret results of a basic mold analysis.

You will use a model of a computer mouse shell model to run a basic mold thermal simulation and analyze the results to locate regions with high cooling time and temperature exceeding the target cooling temperature. This helps you identify critical cooling areas in your plastic part early in the design phase, before mold design begins.
