Results panel options

On the results page, use the Results panel to select the display options to view the safe ejection time of the plastic part and the temperature distribution on the plastic and mold components.

Option Description
Setup|Results Allows you to quickly switch from the Results page to the Setup page.

This allows you to verify the settings of your solved model.

Type list Lets you select the variable to view in the display window.
Freeze Time
Displays the freeze time distribution on the plastic part. The freeze time, or safe ejection time, is the duration for the plastic part to develop a thick enough solidified layer, enabling safe ejection while maintaining its integrity.
Recommendation (beta)
Appears for the channel recommender job type.

Displays the recommended cooling regions. Regions are color-coded by relative importance to cooling performance and part quality: red indicates critical areas, green indicates high importance, and blue indicates moderate importance.

Temperature
Displays the temperature distribution on the plastic part.
Mold Appears for the channel assessment job type.

Displays the mold components in the display window when Temperature is selected.

Channels Appears for the channel assessment job type.

Displays the cooling channels to let you understand the impact of the channels’ placement on the results.

Cutting Plane Displays a sectional view along the selected axis:
  • X—Applies a cutting plane along the x-direction.
  • Y—Applies a cutting plane along the y-direction.
  • Z—Applies a cutting plane along the z-direction.
Invert
Inverts the cutting plane direction.
Cutting plane slider
Specifies the cutting plane position along the selected axis.
Filter Displays only areas of the model within the specified result range, allowing you to isolate regions of the plastic part based on freeze time, temperature, or recommendation priority.
Filter slider
Sets the minimum and maximum values of the displayed result range or filter the display of recommended cooling regions by priority.
Simulation Time Appears when Temperature is selected from the Type list.

Specifies the time step at which you want to display the thermal results to help you analyze the thermal performance of your mold and plastic parts during various phases of the cooling cycle.

Use the slider to move through the available simulation times.

Download Channel/Baffle Geometries Appears for the channel assessment job type.

Lets you download the cooling channels and baffles as a STEP file in a zipped folder.

Download CAD Files Appears for the channel recommender job type.
  • IGES—Downloads the recommended regions in IGES format.
  • STEP—Downloads the recommended regions in STEP format.
Graphics Processor Displays the graphics processor currently used for rendering the results.
