Defining mold properties based on your analysis type ensures that the SimForm solver correctly identifies the mold components in your CAD model and considers their material properties in the thermal analysis.

Modify multiple material properties using a CSV file

This example shows how to update the properties of multiple custom materials by downloading, editing, and uploading a CSV file—eliminating the need to change each material manually.

A job containing custom materials.

In the Plastic Part, Mold Group, Basic Mold, or Mold Material card, expand the Select Material list.
Select Download Materials and save the materials.csv file to your computer.
Open the CSV file in a spreadsheet editor such as Microsoft Excel.
Edit the material properties you want to update. For example, adjust the thermal conductivity or mold temperature values.
Save the edited file in CSV format.
In SimForm, from the Select Material list, select Upload Materials .

The uploaded file with material properties overwrites the original material data with your updated values.
