Define manufacturing constraints
Specify the manufacturing parameters of your mold in a channel recommender job to ensure that the generated cooling regions are feasible for real-world manufacturing.

-
In the Manufacturing Constraints card, in the
Water Temperature box, type the inlet cooling
temperature value, for example, 20 °C.
You can keep the default value if it matches your cooling system conditions or you do not know what it should be.
-
In the Minimum Channel Distance box, type the spacing in
mm between cooling channels and the plastic part, for example,
25 mm.
You can keep the default value to maintain a safe minimum distance for manufacturability.
-
In the Channel Radius box, type the radius of the
cooling channels in mm, for example, 4 mm.
You can keep the default radius if it fits your intended manufacturing process.
