Defining mold properties based on your analysis type ensures that the SimForm solver correctly identifies the mold components in your CAD model and considers their material properties in the thermal analysis.

  Use SimForm to perform thermal cooling analyses for your plastic compression mold designs. These analyses help you identify hot spots on the plastic part and develop cooling layouts to improve part quality and reduce cycle times.

Custom Mold Material options

The custom mold material window lets you define a new mold material in your job.


Option	Description
Copy from Mold Material	Copies the properties of an existing material that you can modify.
Name	Sets the name for the new material.
Density	Sets the density of the material in kg/m³.
Thermal Conductivity	Sets the thermal conductivity of the material in W/(m·°C).
Specific Heat	Sets the specific heat of the material in J/(kg·°C).
