Create a project to organize, manage and group related jobs, making it easier to compare different design iterations and track your progress.

- Injection molding overview
  Use SimForm to perform thermal cooling analyses for your plastic injection mold designs. These analyses help you identify hot spots on the plastic part and develop cooling layouts to improve part quality and reduce cycle times.

  - Create a project
    Create a project to organize, manage and group related jobs, making it easier to compare different design iterations and track your progress.
  - Create a job
    Create a job to evaluate specific design variations of a mold, such as different cooling channel configurations or material choices, within the same project. This allows you to optimize your design by comparing the performance of different setups.
  - Add Project options
    The Add <Project Type> Project window lets you create a new project of the desired type to evaluate different design parameters of your mold and plastic parts.
  - Add a New Job options
    The Add a New Job window lets you create a new job within a project.
- Setting up a simulation
  Use the setup page to categorize and define your model components properties for the solver to identify them.
- Defining mold properties
  Defining mold properties based on your analysis type ensures that the SimForm solver correctly identifies the mold components in your CAD model and considers their material properties in the thermal analysis.
- Defining plastic part properties
  Categorize your plastic part components and define their materials to allow the SimForm app solver to identify them.
- Defining cooling channels
  In a channel assessment job, if your model contains cooling channels, you must define the components that represent them so the solver can identify them.
- Defining manufacturing constraints
  In a channel recommender job, manufacturing constraints let you specify practical limits for how cooling channels can be manufactured in your mold.

  When running a simulation, the solver relies on specific assumptions and automated processes to ensure accurate and efficient results.

Create a project

Create a project to organize, manage and group related jobs, making it easier to compare different design iterations and track your progress.

Log in to SimForm.

On the Projects page, select your project type and click add a project to add a new project.
By default, the project type button displays your last created project type. To select a different type, click the project type drop-down and choose one of the available projects.
In the Project Name box, type a name that identifies your project, for example, Mouse shell mold design.
You can use the project name to filter your projects.
(Optional) In the Description box, type a description for your project. For example, This project optimizes the cooling system for a mouse shell mold to ensure uniform heat dissipation.
The project description will be displayed on the project page under your project and can be used to filter your projects, making it easier to identify and navigate through them.
(Optional) In the Tags box, add relevant tags for your project to help you filter your projects. For example, mouse, mold, cooling, conventional, conformal.
Click Add.
The Add a New Job window opens.

Create a new job to upload, set up and run your mold design model.
